Hey everyone, how's your week been?
We've got some exciting news from our circle of boating friends. Ken and Roberta Williams flew into Nome, Alaska on August 13 to rejoin their boat, MV North Star, and they're now underway on their transit of the Northwest Passage — about 4,600 miles across the top of the world. They've already crossed the Arctic Circle.
There are eight people aboard, running the boat around the clock in shifts, plus their two dogs Pixie and Keeley along for the ride. They're aiming to round Point Barrow this Sunday morning, which is when the real ice work begins.
They're leaving their live feed running nonstop for the next few weeks, so you can watch the whole expedition unfold in real time.
