Hey Crew,

This week’s exploring video is ready—and you’ve got it early and ad free.

I headed out from Prince Rupert on my birthday with one goal… fill the freezer with halibut after a pretty rough stretch of fishing lately. So I brought in a pro—Dustin from DC Charters—to give me a fighting chance.

We did get halibut…

But that’s not the part of the day that surprised me.

Along the way, I hooked something very cool—something called an Alaskan Sea Dragon (aka lingcod). And if you’ve never seen one before, you’re in for it.

This one was a fun day on the water—and an amazing birthday present.  (Sept 19)
