This morning we published our insulation fire test — and yes, we actually lit it up before deciding what belongs in Tangaroa’s engine room.

If it’s going into our hybrid-electric build, we’re not guessing. We wanted to see exactly how these materials behave under real flame before committing to anything. The results weren’t as straightforward as we expected, and it definitely sparked some discussion.
