Operation Silent Running is the name of the hybrid-electric conversion we're building into Tangaroa, our 78-foot aluminum motor yacht from 1969 that we found abandoned in Alaska. This is its badge: diesel on one side, electric on the other, and a lightning bolt splitting the two.
